Aamir plays 'baddie' in Dhoom 3

Confirming the news of being a part of Dhoom 3, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, told media persons on Wednesday that he is happy playing the role of a villain for the first time in the film, as he liked the script very much. This would be the star's third Yash Raj film after Parampara and Fanaa. Well, Aamir, being a Mr. Perfectionist, hits the bulls eye with all most all of his projects. And with his new avatar in Dhoom 3, let's hope the actor continues to set the cash registers ringing.

I have moved on, Deepika tells Katrina

In the past Karan Johar's parties have seen some of the most inconceivable patch-ups in Bollywood. Last year at his birthday bash, Aishwarya and Shah Rukh mended their differences. And that's just one of the many instances.

KJo's last bash on Tuesday night post his Filmfare win for Best Director, turned out to be another patch-up venue. But this one, no one had ever imagined would happen.

Deepika and Katrina ended their ongoing cold war and Deepika made the first move.

The two B-Town divas got a lot of stares when they started talking at the party; even more so because their respective 'good friends' Siddhartha Mallya and Ranbir Kapoor were standing comfortably far apart.

Deepika broke the ice. Says an eyewitness, "Deepika walked up to Katrina and told her, 'Let bygones be bygones. Jo ho gaya so ho gaya. I hold nothing against you. I don't blame anybody.

I have moved on in life and am in a very happy space now'." And how did Katrina react? Revealed the witness, "Katrina was a bit surprised, but she quickly gathered herself and told Deepika, 'Oh, that's fine.

I am very happy that you spoke to me. The load is off my chest'." After that, Deepika and Katrina were apparently extremely comfortable with each other in the party.

The two actresses have not been on talking terms for more than two years. Before this, they had crossed paths on several occasions but had ignored each other completely.

The friction between the two girls started in December 2008. Reportedly, Deepika had heard from her sources about Ranbir's alleged growing proximity to Katrina on and off the sets of Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

This was when the crew of the film was shooting for two months in Goa. Deepika headed to Goa immediately and when Katrina saw her, she was shocked.

Katrina had even told a friend then, "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. And sure enough she stayed for quite some time in Goa."

That was the last straw for Deepika as far as her relationship with Ranbir was concerned. After Deepika returned from Goa, things were never the same between Ranbir and her again.

A few days ago, Deepika made a jibe at Katrina on Karan's show Kofffee With Karan, when she said that she would like to see Katrina's passport.

If sources are to be believed, Karan wanted Deepika and Katrina to star in Dostana 2. In the light of the recent developments, KJo's dream may just materialize...

Bollywood should be called HiFi?

Considering the popularity of the Hindi Film Industry globally, the tinsel town believes that a single term 'Bollywood' cannot describe the entire industry. Besides, they even comprehended, there isn't any need to dub the term 'Hollywood'.

Recently, during the discussion on Twitter, the 'Wanted' hunk Salman Khan surprised everyone by tagging the term 'Bollywood' as ridiculous. The star even added that he hated this term.

Excerpts from Salman's tweets
Some of the excerpts from Salman's tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter are:

“Hate this bloody name , bollywood , koi naam hai kya ? Disgusting.”

“Hollywood se bollywood naam nikla, this is nt the name of our industry. Don't kno whr this ridiculous name has cm frm n got stuck.”

“Bollywood was fr wen mumbai was called bombay toh kya shld it nt b called mumllywood,hw ridiculous is it.it makes us look like chamchas.”

“1 of the 1 st film production was called bombay talkie's so call it that or mumbai tal... Or indian cinema, call it any thing but nt boll..”

Later, when Salman got a tweet from one of his fans, who suggested the name HiFi (Hindi Film Industry), he immediately tweeted it and even declared it as a “cool name”.

Surprisingly, Riteish Deshmukh supported Salman's conception and tweeted, “I totally love the term HI-FI for hindi film industry - instead of BOLLYWOOD.”

Other actors who hate 'Bollywood'
Strangely, despite the stars hatred and the term's significance, 'Bollywood' was added in the Oxford dictionary in 2003.

Some of the well-known bigwigs who do not like the term 'Bollywood' are Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Dino Morea, and Shilpa Shetty.

Few years ago, when Piggy Chops was asked about her conception, she replied, “I don’t like the term Bollywood. Hindi film industry sounds so much more sensible and sensitive.”

Even Dino Morea had supported her opinions and added, “I don’t think we need to copy Hollywood. It should just be the Indian film industry, sounds so much better.”

While Shilpa Shetty said, “Don’t call it Bollywood, I would kill you if you do that. It’s like calling French cinema Follywood.”

If this is the case, then why the term 'Bollywood' is being used judiciously in the industry.
