Kareena’s wedding preparations

Though Kareena and Saif are tight lipped about their BIG day, it is heard that the wedding preparations are on in full swing.

If buzz is to be believed, Bebo has placed an order for a royal neck piece, costing about 40 Lakh. The necklace is said to extend from her neck to her waist. Made with 400 gm gold with expensive gems studded on it, such kind of necklaces are generally worn by the royals.

The jewelery will be designed by a Rajkot-based Jeweler, who is pretty famous for designing such royal jewelery.

Ritu Kumar is said to be designing Bebo’s wedding attaire. It is also heard that Saif plans to gift Bebo a big diamond rock as her wedding gift.

Kareena Kapoor to wear Rs 40 lakh necklace on her wedding.

The latest buzz on Kareena-Saif’s wedding is related to the actress’s wedding jewellery. It’s said that Bebo has ordered a royal piece of jewelry worth around Rs 40 lakh. The jewellery set is supposed to be a full-dress necklace; its length is from neck to waist. The unique designer set is generally used for royal weddings.

As per reports, a Rajkot-based Jeweller has the onus of creating this designer royal jewellery set for Kareena Kapoor. The jewelry set will apparently be made with 400 gm gold with expensive gems studded on it. It will take approximately two months to make because it requires craftsmanship and painstaking hand work.

Now, you must be thinking about Kareena’s royal wedding ensemble. Well, reportedly the ace fashion designer Ritu Kumar, who is close to Saif Ali Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore, is busy creating the wedding attire for Kareena. With Ritu’s expertise in traditional garments, there is no doubt that the dress is going to be one of its kind.

It’s even heard that Saif is planning to gift a big diamond ring to Kareena as the wedding gift.

First Look of Saif-Kareena's AGENT VINOD is out!

The trailer looks quite impressive and thrilling. Interestingly Saif even recites a line from a popular song featuring Amitabh Bachchan. He says, "My name is Anthony Gonsalves...Mein duniya mein akela hoon". Trying to hide his identity in the film, Saif even mentions that he is Vinod Khanna. The blend of humour and action seems to have come out brightly.

The film is a slick spy-thriller directed and written by Sriram Raghvan and produced by Saif under his banner of Illuminati Films.

Initially set to release in December 2011, AGENT VINOD was postponed due to delays in its shooting schedule and will now release on 23rd March, 2012. We guess that the wait was worth.

Kareena: EMAET is a Hollywood style romcom

Kareena is ending the year with a blockbuster (BODYGUARD) and a hit (RA.ONE). Even though the Number One crown is pretty much sitting right on her head, Kareena has always maintained that the number game doesn't quite matter for her. Still, in Bollywood where money does all the talking, does she still stick to her stand that being acknowledged as a commercially viable superstar doesn't matter?

'No of course it does matter,' Kareena calls spade a spade here, 'After all, in this industry you are as good as your last film. Eventually it is all about the commercial viability of the stars. Bollywood is about entertainment; this is what that sells here and we can't change that. In fact we must not try to change that and balance it all. This is what I have and will always believe in; one needs to play the balancing act. I may try to please everyone but at the end of it all, basically I have to entertain my fans. I can and should never forget that basic aspect of my journey as an actress.'

One can well see Kareena playing a balancing act. Otherwise what else can explain her willingness to work with a young leading man like Imran Khan when all her 'box office centuries' so far have been with men who are aged at least 40 years or above?

'EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is the kind of film that I haven't done for a really long time so yes, I am pretty much doing a balancing act here,' agrees Kareena, 'I am enjoying this phase in my career where I am shifting genres with practically every film and now with this film, I am getting into a very Hollywood style romcom space. There are hardly any movies belonging to this genre that are made in Bollywood and trust me when I say that this is one film which would also make critics happy.'

Sure Kareena, we would love to see that.

When Kareena pinched Imran's bum

If in ‘Love Aaj Kal’, Saif Ali Khan touched Deepika Padukone’s bum then Kareena Kapoor repeated her beau and pinched her ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ co-star Imran Khan’s bum. The poster of the film that was released shows Kareena pinched Imran’s bum without his knowledge and there is a expression of shock in his face.

In the trailer, Kareena was shown discussing about her bum with Imran and he rated Kareena’s bum 4 out of 10 while Kareena rated Imran’s bum 8 out of 10. This particular scene has grabbed many eyeballs and became an instant hit.

Directed by debutant Shakun Batra, EMAET is the story is of two carefree people, Rahul (Imran Khan) and Riana (Kareena Kapoor) a hair-stylist, who meets, drunk together, and then awakes the next morning to find that they have gotten legally married to each other.

Kareena and Imran’s chemistry is very much talked about. ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, produced by Karan Johar, is slated to release on February 10.

Kareena Kapoor gorges on aloo, gobhi paranthas

If you thought fruits, healthy vegetables and juices is all that Kareena Kapoor consumed to keep herself fit, the actress says it’s all a myth!
In fact, she says she digs into potato and cauliflower paranthas almost every day. The once size zero actress, Kareena now looks healthy. She says eating right is they key to a good figure.
“I have never starved. Even when I used to work out for size zero for ‘Tashan’, I used to eat paranthas. I eat aloo and gobhi paranthas daily. I have a lovely diet to follow and there is lots to eat,” Kareena told reporters here Friday.
“It is about looking good, feeling good and being fit, and once you do that all boys will automatically like you,” she added.
Back from a 20-day holiday from Switzerland, Kareena has been gorging on cheese fondues and “everything else” that she loves eating.
“I am now a midnight eater,” she said.
Kareena, who is working on Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Heroine”, says she has done away with her size zero tag, but now feels her elder sister Karisma, a mother of two, deserves the title more than anyone else, owing to her slender figure.
“This is the right time to announce that the crown of size zero goes to Karisma Kapoor. She is the size zero of the industry today,” she said of Karisma, who is set to make her Bollywood comeback with “Dangerous Ishq”.
The sisters were present at the unveiling of the new cover of nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar’s book “Women & The Weight Loss Tamasha” here.
Karisma blushed after Kareena’s compliment, and said: “I completely give the credit to Bebo (Kareena) as she recommended me to Rujuta. And now I have the right amount of weight on me, which feels great and it is all thanks to Rujuta.”
“It feels great that I have lost so much of weight even after eating fish curry and rice every night. People ask me – ‘Are you seriously eating carbohydrates at night as you still look so fit?’. I just tell them that after having a baby, it is important to have carbs. It is about eating healthy and being fit and not about starving yourself,”
